Missing Madeleine Mcann

by astronut @ Monday, May. 14, 2007 - 02:11:29 pm

The police in the Algarve seem just as uncertain as anyone else about what might have happened to her. They keep saying that they do not want to reveal any information about their investigations, but I think this is because they have not got any information.
One thing is for certain; Madeleine's parents must be going through the worst hell. There will be a deep deep regret for having left the children unnattended. If she does eventually turn up safe and well, there will be a huge relief felt by them, and it will have been a tough lesson not to ever leave young children unsupervised for any length of time, just so that they can have a meal without the kids.

I think that now that the whole world knows what she looks like, especially her unusual right eye, if she is going to be found it will be in the next few weeks; this is assuming that she was abducted by someone who is looking after her; the girl can't be hidden forever.
I'm afraid the alternatives as to what has happened to her involve thinking about the unthinkable. That will surely be praying on her parent's minds most of all.

Nowadays, almost everyone seems to believe they can carry on behaving the same when they have children as they did before. We never left ours on his own so we could go for a meal on holiday, and lots of people sneered at us for that.

The same couple who did not find it sensible to pay a few euros for a babysitter to care for 3 children aged 3 years and under have now apparently flown a legal team to Portugal....

They may be using money from well wishers and so on. I think we really need to have compassion for her parents, they will be feeling regret and guilt big time.

it is so sad, i can't believe they were left like that though, despite all the worry and hurt they must be feeling responsible and i bet their relationship is suffering. I hope she turns up safe and well. xx

I hope she does too, but I'm afraid the chances are rapidly dwindling.

I do'nt think their relationship is suffering ; It's strengthened by their shared pain , their shared love of their other two children and by their faith .

I agree with not leaving your children alone if this had happend to a normal conventional family our remaining children would have been taken away and we would be looking at a prison sentence. I do hope they find her safe and well but who does the blame lie with.

well i think someone has to be pretty sick in the head to do what this person has done.. parents shouldnt have to worry about leaving there children in a room, what happend to the security of the hotel..?? shoulnt the rooms have more security? somebody shouldnt be able to get in the room full stop... i hope she turns up and the everybody can start living their lives again... and stop getting worried!!

The Police Tracker dogs seem to think that she wandered alone down the road until she was abducted from there .

The Portuguese Police ignored Madeleine McCann for 24 hours, possibly because this area is known to be a crime-free zone. This lax attitude was probably noted by paedophiles and the area targeted.

Now is the time to stop paedophiles stalking families. Now is the time to question lone people taking photographs of other people’s children at the beach. Some of these photos finish up on a perverts’ websites who claim the children are their own.

I have been pestered on holiday. I always had my 2 year old safely strapped in the buggy, mainly because little legs cannot walk very far. This middle-aged man persisted - he seemed to be THERE whenever I turned round and he kept telling me that my baby was too big to be riding around in a buggy.

MY EXPERIENCE OF THE "POLICE" IN PORTUGAL. MY FRIEND AND I WERE ON HOLIDAY IN VILLAMORA 3 YEARS AGO, IN THE DARK,2 MEN DRAGGED US APART AND MUGGED US...WE WERE BOTH INJURED AND CLEARLY IN SHOCK..AFTER INSISTING THE POLICE WERE CALLED.. THEY ARRIVED, IGNORING US AND TALKING TO OUR HOTEL RECEPTION,ALL THE TIME THEY WERE LAUGHING AND SMOKING CIGS,THEY DID NOTHING...OTHER THAN CHARGING US FOR A CERTIFICATE TO SAY WE HAD BEEN MUGGED...FOR PASSPORT ETC.WE TRULY BELIEVED THAT IF THEY WOULD HAVE SAT IN THEIR MIDGETS NODDY CAR AND LOOKED A COUPLE OF MILES AWAY ..TO A CERTAIN ESTATE NEARBY..THE CULPRITS COULD BE FOUND. LITTLE BOYS WITH BIG BIG GUNS...COULD LEARN A LOT FROM OUR POLICE FORCE.
